Mercury

Mercury (from Latin mercor, 'trade') was a Roman patron god of trade, profit and enrichment. Usually he was depicted as a slim lovely young man, however, a sculpture by Ivan Korzhev shows the imageof Mercury as a god who dominates the modern Olympus replacing other gods, as well as the desire of enrichment and income suppresses all other desires and aspirations.
Strong, firm, confident and haughty Mercury is a rethinking of the mythical image in its modern interpretation, a visual expression of the values that today's society chooses as its deity.
